Fedora 16 Testing Updates: clamsmtp-1.10-8.fc16.src

clamsmtp - A SMTP virus scanning system

ClamSMTP is an SMTP filter that allows you to check for
viruses using the ClamAV anti-virus software. It accepts
SMTP connections and forwards the SMTP commands and
responses to another SMTP server. The 'DATA' email body
is intercepted and scanned before forwarding.

It aims to be lightweight, reliable, and simple
rather than have a myriad of options. It's written in C
without major dependencies. If you need more options then
you could use something big like AMaViS which is written
in PERL and can do almost anything.

Written with the Postfix mail server in mind it can be
configured as a Postfix Content Filter. It can also
be used as a transparent proxy to filter an entire network's
SMTP traffic at the router.

Change Log:

childsplay - Suite of educational games for young children

Childsplay is a suite of educational games for young children. It's written in
Python and uses the SDL-libraries. The aim is to be educational and at the same
time be fun to play.

Some activities make use of language dependent voice samples, these sounds are
available as childsplay-alphabet_sounds packages. For those you'll have to
install the childsplay-alphabet_sounds package for the languages you intend to
use. For example childsplay-alphabet_sounds_nl.
Available alphabet sounds packages:
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_bg
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_ca
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_de
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_el
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_en_GB
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_es
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_fr
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_lt
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_nb
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_nl
childsplay-alphabet_sounds_pt

python-sqlalchemy - Modular and flexible ORM library for python

SQLAlchemy is an Object Relational Mappper (ORM) that provides a flexible,
high-level interface to SQL databases. Database and domain concepts are
decoupled, allowing both sides maximum flexibility and power. SQLAlchemy
provides a powerful mapping layer that can work as automatically or as manually
as you choose, determining relationships based on foreign keys or letting you
define the join conditions explicitly, to bridge the gap between database and
domain.

This package includes the python 2 version of the module.

perl-Test-AutoLoader - Testing utility for autosplit/autoloaded modules

This single-purpose module attempts to eliminate uncaught syntax errors or
other obvious goofs in subroutines that are autosplit, and hence not looked
at by perl -c Module.pm. Ideally, this module will become unnecessary as
you reach full coverage of those subroutines in your unit tests. Until that
happy day, however, this should provide a quick and dirty backstop for
Fedora 16 Testing Updates: guitarix-0.22.3-1.fc16.src

guitarix - Mono amplifier to JACK

Guitarix is a simple mono amplifier to be used in a 'JACKified' environment,
i.e. a system using the JACK Audio Connection Kit, a professionally-capable
audio/MIDI server and master transport control.

Guitarix provides one JACK input port and two JACK output ports. It is designed
to produce nice trash/metal/rock/blues guitar sounds. Controls for bass, treble,
gain, compressor, preamp, balance, distortion, freeverb, crybaby (wah) and echo
are available. A fixed resonator is used when distortion is disabled. To modify
the sound 'pressure', you can use the feedback and feedforward sliders.

Guitarix includes an experimental tuner and a JACK MIDI output port with 3
channels. They are fed by a mix from a pitch tracker and a beat detector. You
can pitch the octave (2 octaves up or down), choose the MIDI channel, the MIDI
program, the velocity and the sensitivity, which translates into how fast the
note will read after the beat detector emits a signal. Values for the beat
detector can be set for all channels.

fldigi - Digital modem program for Linux

Fldigi is a modem program which supports most of the digital modes used by
ham radio operators today. You can also use the program for calibrating your
sound card to WWV or doing a frequency measurement test. The program also comes
with a CW decoder. fldigi is written with the help of the Fast Light Toolkit X
GUI. Fldigi is a fast moving project many added features with each update.

Flarq (Fast Light Automatic Repeat Request) is a file transfer application
that is based on the ARQ specification developed by Paul Schmidt, K9PS.
It is capable of transmitting and receiving frames of ARQ data via fldigi.

The fldigi-shell program controls fldigi over HTTP via XML-encoded
remote procedure calls (XML-RPC). It can call any XML-RPC method
exported by fldigi, and also defines some useful commands of its own.

openswan - IPSEC implementation with IKEv1 and IKEv2 keying protocols

Openswan is a free implementation of IPsec & IKE for Linux. IPsec is
the Internet Protocol Security and uses strong cryptography to provide
both authentication and encryption services. These services allow you
to build secure tunnels through untrusted networks. Everything passing
through the untrusted net is encrypted by the ipsec gateway machine and
decrypted by the gateway at the other end of the tunnel. The resulting
tunnel is a virtual private network or VPN.

This package contains the daemons and userland tools for setting up
Openswan. It supports the NETKEY/XFRM IPsec kernel stack that exists
in the default Linux kernel.
Openswan 2.6.x also supports IKEv2 (RFC4306)

wine - A Windows 16/32/64 bit emulator

While Wine is usually thought of as a Windows(TM) emulator, the Wine
developers would prefer that users thought of Wine as a Windows
compatibility layer for UNIX. This package includes a program loader,
which allows unmodified Windows 3.x/9x/NT binaries to run on x86 and x86_64
Unixes. Wine does not require MS Windows, but it can use native system
.dll files if they are available.

In Fedora wine is a meta-package which will install everything needed for wine
to work smoothly. Smaller setups can be achieved by installing some of the
wine-* sub packages.

ocaml-fileutils - OCaml library for common file and filename operations

This library is intended to provide a basic interface to the most
common file and filename operations. It provides several different
filename functions: reduce, make_absolute, make_relative... It also
enables you to manipulate real files: cp, mv, rm, touch...

It is separated into two modules: SysUtil and SysPath. The first one
manipulates real files, the second one is made for manipulating
abstract filenames.

create unit-tests for OCaml code. It is based on HUnit, a unit testing
framework for Haskell. It is similar to JUnit, and other xUnit testing
frameworks.

glibc - The GNU libc libraries

The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by
multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and
memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is
kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package
contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C
library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a
Linux system will not function.

Change Log:

Wed, 09 May 2012 GMT - Patsy Franklin <patsy@redhat.com> - 2.14.90-24.fc16.7

- Avoid "nargs" integer overflow which could be used to bypass FORTIFY_SOURCE (#794797)
 - Disable 552960/769421 patches again, they're still not right.
