ntfs-3g - Linux NTFS userspace driver

The ntfs-3g driver is an open source, GPL licensed, third generation
Linux NTFS driver. It provides full read-write access to NTFS, excluding
access to encrypted files, writing compressed files, changing file
ownership, access right.

Technically it’s based on and a major improvement to the third
generation Linux NTFS driver, ntfsmount. The improvements include
functionality, quality and performance enhancements.

ntfs-3g features are being merged to ntfsmount. In the meanwhile,
ntfs-3g is currently the only free, as in either speech or beer, NTFS
driver for Linux that supports unlimited file creation and deletion.

xfsprogs - Utilities for managing the XFS filesystem

A set of commands to use the XFS filesystem, including mkfs.xfs.

XFS is a high performance journaling filesystem which originated
on the SGI IRIX platform. It is completely multi-threaded, can
support large files and large filesystems, extended attributes,
variable block sizes, is extent based, and makes extensive use of
Btrees (directories, extents, free space) to aid both performance
and scalability.

Refer to the documentation at http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/
for complete details. This implementation is on-disk compatible
with the IRIX version of XFS.

spamassassin - Spam filter for email which can be invoked from mail delivery agents

SpamAssassin provides you with a way to reduce if not completely eliminate
Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM) from your incoming email. It can
be invoked by a MDA such as sendmail or postfix, or can be called from
a procmail script, .forward file, etc. It uses a genetic-algorithm
evolved scoring system to identify messages which look spammy, then
adds headers to the message so they can be filtered by the user's mail
reading software. This distribution includes the spamd/spamc components
which create a server that considerably speeds processing of mail.

To enable spamassassin, if you are receiving mail locally, simply add
this line to your ~/.procmailrc:
INCLUDERC=/etc/mail/spamassassin/spamassassin-default.rc

To filter spam for all users, add that line to /etc/procmailrc
(creating if necessary).

qemu - QEMU is a FAST! processor emulator

QEMU is a generic and open source processor emulator which achieves a good
emulation speed by using dynamic translation. QEMU has two operating modes:

* Full system emulation. In this mode, QEMU emulates a full system (for
example a PC), including a processor and various peripherials. It can be
used to launch different Operating Systems without rebooting the PC or
to debug system code.
* User mode emulation. In this mode, QEMU can launch Linux processes compiled
for one CPU on another CPU.

As QEMU requires no host kernel patches to run, it is safe and easy to use.

sip - SIP - Python/C++ Bindings Generator

SIP is a tool for generating bindings for C++ classes so that they can be
accessed as normal Python classes. SIP takes many of its ideas from SWIG but,
because it is specifically designed for C++ and Python, is able to generate
tighter bindings. SIP is so called because it is a small SWIG.

SIP was originally designed to generate Python bindings for KDE and so has
explicit support for the signal slot mechanism used by the Qt/KDE class
libraries. However, SIP can be used to generate Python bindings for any C++
class library.
