dspam - A library and Mail Delivery Agent for Bayesian SPAM filtering

The DSPAM agent masquerades as the email server's local delivery agent
and filters/learns spams using an advanced Bayesian statistical approach
(based on Baye's theorem of combined probabilities) which provides an
administratively maintenance-free, easy-learning Anti-Spam service
custom tailored to each individual user's behavior. Advanced because on
top of standard Bayesian filtering is also incorporated the use of
Chained Tokens, de-obfuscation, and other enhancements. DSPAM works
great with Sendmail, Exim and Postfix, and should work well with any
other MTA that supports an external local delivery agent (qmail, etc.)

Change Log:

Tue, 09 Feb 2010 GMT - Nathanael Noblet <nathanael@gnat.ca> - 3.9.0-4

Fri, 22 Jan 2010 GMT - Nathanael Noblet <nathanael@gnat.ca> - 3.9.0-3

Thu, 21 Jan 2010 GMT - Nathanael Noblet <nathanael@gnat.ca> - 3.9.0-2
- Replaced last etc with _sysconfdir macro
- Use single integer release version

wine - A Windows 16/32/64 bit emulator

While Wine is usually thought of as a Windows(TM) emulator, the Wine
developers would prefer that users thought of Wine as a Windows
compatibility layer for UNIX. This package includes a program loader,
which allows unmodified Windows 3.x/9x/NT binaries to run on x86 and x86_64
Unixes. Wine does not require MS Windows, but it can use native system
.dll files if they are available.

In Fedora wine is a meta-package which will install everything needed for wine
to work smoothly. Smaller setups can be achieved by installing some of the
wine-* sub packages.

Python 3 is a new version of the language that is incompatible with the 2.x
line of releases. The language is mostly the same, but many details, especially
how built-in objects like dictionaries and strings work, have changed
considerably, and a lot of deprecated features have finally been removed.

debuginfo subpackage, rather than the libs subpackage
- introduce %{py_SOVERSION} and %{py_INSTSONAME} to reflect the upstream
configure script, and to avoid fragile scripts that try to figure this out
dynamically (e.g. for the -gdb.py change)

Mon, 08 Feb 2010 GMT - David Malcolm <dmalcolm@redhat.com> - 3.1.1-23

python - An interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language

Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming
language often compared to Tcl, Perl, Scheme or Java. Python includes
modules, classes, exceptions, very high level dynamic data types and
dynamic typing. Python supports interfaces to many system calls and
libraries, as well as to various windowing systems (X11, Motif, Tk,
Mac and MFC).

Programmers can write new built-in modules for Python in C or C++.
Python can be used as an extension language for applications that need
a programmable interface. This package contains most of the standard
Python modules, as well as modules for interfacing to the Tix widget
set for Tk and RPM.

Note that documentation for Python is provided in the python-docs
package.

Change Log:

Mon, 08 Feb 2010 GMT - David Malcolm <dmalcolm@redhat.com> - 2.6.4-16
- move the -gdb.py file from %{_libdir}/INSTSONAME-gdb.py to
%{_prefix}/lib/debug/%{_libdir}/INSTSONAME.debug-gdb.py to avoid noise from
ldconfig (bug 562980), and which should also ensure it becomes part of the
debuginfo subpackage, rather than the libs subpackage
- introduce %{py_SOVERSION} and %{py_INSTSONAME} to reflect the upstream
configure script, and to avoid fragile scripts that try to figure this out
dynamically (e.g. for the -gdb.py change)

Mon, 08 Feb 2010 GMT - David Malcolm <dmalcolm@redhat.com> - 2.6.4-15
- work around bug 562906 by supplying a fixed version of pythondeps.sh
- set %{_python_bytecompile_errors_terminate_build} to 0 to prevent the broken
test files from killing the build on buildroots where python is installed

Fri, 05 Feb 2010 GMT - David Malcolm <dmalcolm@redhat.com> - 2.6.4-14
- add gdb hooks for easier debugging

libsoup - Soup, an HTTP library implementation

Libsoup is an HTTP library implementation in C. It was originally part
of a SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) implementation called Soup, but
the SOAP and non-SOAP parts have now been split into separate packages.

libsoup uses the Glib main loop and is designed to work well with GTK
applications. This enables GNOME applications to access HTTP servers
on the network in a completely asynchronous fashion, very similar to
the Gtk+ programming model (a synchronous operation mode is also
supported for those who want it).

emacs-vm - Emacs VM mailreader

VM (View Mail) is an Emacs subsystem that allows UNIX mail to be read
and disposed of within Emacs. Commands exist to do the normal things
expected of a mail user agent, such as generating replies, saving
messages to folders, deleting messages and so on. There are other
more advanced commands that do tasks like bursting and creating
digests, message forwarding, and organizing message presentation
according to various criteria.

boinc-client - The BOINC client core

The Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) is an open-
source software platform which supports distributed computing, primarily in
the form of "volunteer" computing and "desktop Grid" computing. It is well
suited for problems which are often described as "trivially parallel". BOINC
is the underlying software used by projects such as SETI@home, Einstein@Home,
ClimatePrediciton.net, the World Community Grid, and many other distributed
computing projects.

This package installs the BOINC client software, which will allow your
computer to participate in one or more BOINC projects, using your spare
computer time to search for cures for diseases, model protein folding, study
global warming, discover sources of gravitational waves, and many other types
of scientific and mathematical research.
